Capturing the Widow Maker

STASH | Media Manager, DJ, took to the streets to capture the iconic Porsche 930 Turbo.

The wide body, the iconic whale tail, the compact proportions…they don’t need exaggeration. If anything, the challenge is stepping back enough to let the car speak in its own language. Natural, ideal flat light, did a lot of the heavy lifting in the shoot. Subtle reflections, soft shadows, and just enough contrast to bring out the shape without overpowering it.

Details matter with cars like this. The slight patina, the texture in the leather, the mechanical honesty in the engine bay. Nothing feels over restored or overthought and that’s exactly the point.

A time when performance came with consequence. When turbo lag wasn’t engineered out, but engineered in. When driving demanded something back from you. That edge still exists, even when the car is standing still. It changes how you approach it, how you frame it, how you tell its story.

By the end of the shoot, it was clear this wasn’t about content. It was about capturing a moment between car and the location That’s the kind of work we’re interested in.

From curated photo and video shoots to on-location storytelling, our approach is focused on authenticity - documenting each car in a way that reflects its character, provenance, and the lifestyle around it. Whether it’s a quick content refresh or a full feature, we handle everything from concept through to delivery.
